Since the Digital Economy bill tragically passed, and people seemed to be getting confused about whether the site was about the Second Reading or the session in Parliament when the bill was rammed through I have decided to take the site down. It may return if Parliament gives us access to something which I feel strongly would improve transparency, a proper hour by hour, minute by minute register of attendance of MPs.
People have been contacting me to say I picked the wrong day and the wrong metric. It's a personal response from me and I picked a day when I first saw how few people attend bills of great importance. A day where some MPs were representing the views of the communities that elected them, but in my view, it was a woefully small number considering the large amount of public disdain and in particular educated, vocal and visible public disdain of the bill. The time I chose to highlight was the Second Reading of the Digital Economy bill which was on the 6th April 2010.
